SAILING TRAININGS IN BELGIUM AND THE NETHERLANDS (in collaboration with C-MASTERS)
In 2025, we have expanded our partnership with the sailing school 'C-Masters':
- We offer you a variety of shore based sailing trainings at preferential prices organised specifically for CNCE members (see our training offer below).
- For other (not listed below) C-Masters courses our club members can benefit from a discount (7.5% for a practical course and 10% for a classroom theory course). Check out C-Masters catalogue for the training offer. To obtain the discount, please indicate your affiliation with the CNCE in the course booking form or inform the school via e-mail.
SRC VHF marine radio course and exam, Belgium (10+ hours, 2-4 participants)
The RYA Marine VHF Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the minimum qualification required to operate marine VHF GMDSS radio equipment on a vessel. This includes both fixed and handheld equipment with and without Digital Selective Calling (DSC).
Programme
Basics of radio operation, frequencies, distress, emergency, and medical assistance procedures, making ship to shore telephone calls, Digital Selective Calling, Global Maritime Distress Safety System.
SRC exams consist of a written theory exam and assessment in the practical use of marine VHF radios.

Duration
10+ hours, incl. a minimum of 3 hours pre-course study at home and 7 hours of classroom study, including final exam.

RYA First Aid course, Belgium (1 day, 4-6 participants)
In a medical emergency on sea a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations.
Programme
The course is covering the most essential First Aid subjects from a yachting perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on offshore passages.

Masterclass: Meteorology and weather forecasting, Belgium (1 day)
This one-day classroom course is available for anyone who wishes to demystify meteorology, understand wind and weather systems and how it affects an envisioned passage.
Programme
The aim of this course is to give a thorough background into meteorology and becoming skilled in spotting weather trends.

RYA Diesel Engine course, the Netherlands (1 day, min. 2 participants)
This course teaches you how your engine works, how to keep it healthy by using basic checks and maintenance procedures, and how to get it started again in the event of a breakdown.
