Experienced CNCE members share their knowledge on various aspects of sailing. These theory sessions take place in Brussels or online and are free for participants of the Beginners' Course.

The CNCE Beginners' Course will give you a taste of sailing: you will sail on dinghies and on our yacht BlueOne. By trying out these different types of boats, you will get a feel for what it's like to sail on small boats close to the water and on a bigger yacht - two entirely different sailing experiences. The course also includes various theory sessions: a comprehensive introduction to the main chapters of the sailing bible!

Join this online gathering for an evening that will take you to the Caribbean!

Kenneth Patterson will talk about how he planned his journey and share his experience of sailing, mostly single-handed, across the Atlantic and back, visiting Senégal, Gambia, Surinam, Grenada, Mustique and other places.

What are the challenges and surprises he came across? And what does he keep from his encounters with the locals and their culture?
Recreational boating, ocean weather, checking equipment, exploring wildlife and the ecosystem are some of the topics you will hear about.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session for participants to have an open discussion.
Kenneth will also explain about his forthcoming sailing plans and opportunities for 2021.

The online event will take place in Webex.
