 How to get there

  • To get to the marina: E40 - direction Veurne, exit 3 "Nieuwpoort".
  • First traffic lights turn right, direction "Nieuwpoort Stad".
  • Keep going until the end (= 2nd traffic light) and then turn right (direction "Lombardsijde-Oostende" - "Kustbaan").
  • Over the bridge, passing the monument "Albert" (one of the Belgian kings), turn left at the first coming traffic lights.
  • Cross the street and turn left. This is the "Watersportlaan".
  • Follow the road until you see a big white pyramid at your left side and a bit further you will see a "barrier". If the barrier is open, you can continue and park your car there, otherwise you will have to find a space somewhere there.

Practical details

Please bring your lunch and drinks. It is possible to eat a snack or warm lunch in the tavern at the marina, however it is not guaranteed. The tavern can get busy on sunny days and you have to book it in advance. This needs to be discussed with the instructor the morning you arrive.

The training takes place in the marina, you will not go out to sea.
