Dear sailors,

This weekend, 20/21 July, Daniel will take BlueOne out!

Registrations will open shortly.

Block your agenda for weekend sailing & join the crew!

11/07/2024

Due to a cancellation, we have one place left on the Beginners’ sailing weekend this 13-14 July. Don’t miss the opportunity to join the crew! During the weekend, you will be sailing on our yacht BlueOne (based in Colijnsplaat) as well as on valks (in Kamperland).

Please note that this activity is sailing only and does not include any additional elements of the CNCE Beginners' Course that took place in June (like catering, accommodation on land, etc.). Also, with the existing crew and skippers already booked, all sleeping places available on BlueOne are already taken. Therefore, in case you are interested, you would have to look for accommodation in Zeeland or return to Brussels on Saturday evening.

The PAF for the weekend is 140 EUR

Our valk team has been preparing more opportunities for valk sailing at Kamperland (Netherlands). You will sail with up to four people (including CNCE instructor Rafael) on the Veerse Meer in Zeeland.

The Veerse Meer is a stretch of salt water that is cut off from the North Sea, and a paradise for watersports.

Coming up

Our dinghies are available for you every day of the week!

WHO WE ARE

The sailing club CNCE asbl (Cercle Nautique de la Commission Européenne) is accredited by the European Commission and a focal point for sea lovers working in the EU Institutions, promoting sailing practice and training. The club also aims at strengthening social and cultural relationships among its members outside the workplace, contributing to the integration of new staff (and their families) in the Institutions, while allowing retired staff to maintain contacts with colleagues who are still working. As a truly European club, the CNCE puts particular emphasis on promoting the symbols and principles of the European Union, thus contributing modestly yet passionately to sharing common values and forging a common identity across Europe.

WHAT WE DO

The CNCE offers EU staff, their families and friends a wide range of water-based activities and services, including:

  • day sailing, weekend and week-long sailing,
  • sailing on various types of dinghies and yachts; windsurfing,
  • sailing cruises in the North Sea, Channel Islands, Mediterranean, Baltic Sea, Canary Islands, even the Caribbean and beyond…
  • training courses, preparation for sailing licences,
  • local and international regattas,
  • family outings and cruises,
  • equipment, resources, discounts,
  • excursions to nautical festivals, boat shows,
  • social events.

HOW IT WORKS

The activities of the CNCE rely on the voluntary work of members who wish to share their passion for sailing and the sea. All administration work, CNCE lectures and skippering, etc. is done by unpaid volunteers and all funds received go back to fund activities, services and materials for the members.
Novice sailor or sea dog, you are very welcome to join, participate, learn or share your experience and most importantly, organise activities with the CNCE. The CNCE also collaborates with relevant organisations to facilitate the involvement of its members in water-based and social activities and events (training, cruises, regattas…).
